The Netropy 10G1 raises the bar on performance and affordability for a 10 Gbps network emulator. With the ability to simulate links up to 10 Gbps in a compact 1U-sized system, the 10G1 is ideal for testing cloud computing, storage replication and synchronization, media asset distribution, telepresence, and other applications that rely on high-speed networks.
In addition simulating a single link up to 10 Gbps, the Netropy 10G1 can simulate up to fifteen separate WAN links, with packets assigned to the various links by IP address range, VLAN, or any other packet identifier, making it possible to simulate ten 1 Gbps links or fifteen lower speed links all within a single device.
The 10G1 comes with two 10GbE Ethernet ports for emulation, either SFP+ or RJ45. The device can forward an aggregate of 20 Gbps of traffic at a rate of more than 29 million packets per second, making it suitable for testing any type of data, voice, or video application.
The Netropy 10G1 is configured and managed through an intuitive, browser-based interface for easy operation, or through a comprehensive command line interface for integration with test automation tools.

Easy to Use
The Netropy 10G1 Network Emulator is quick to install, intuitive to configure, and easy to operate. The Netropy GUI provides the responsiveness of an application with the convenience of a standard web browser.
The Netropy 10G1 simulates up to 15 separate WAN links, making it easy to simulate large numbers of gigabit or other high-speed links through a single pair of ports. Packets are assigned to individual links by IP source and destination address range (IPv4 or IPv6), VLAN, MAC address, MPLS label, application port number, or any other packet field.
Bandwidths up to 10 Gbps
Accurately simulate links from 100 bits per second up to 10 Gbps at full line rate for all packet sizes.
Latency up to 20 sec.
Emulate delay and jitter of 10 seconds or more in each direction, in increments of 0.01 ms, with a constant, normal, exponential, or uniform distribution.

Capture and Replay Live Network Conditions
Record the delay and loss of the live network as they vary second-by-second and replay them through the Netropy emulator in a repeatable test environment.
Replay PCAP Files as Background Traffic
Test how applications run over a congested network without costly traffic generators or a rack full of client machines using Netropy's unique background utilization feature that replays PCAP files as background traffic. Each PCAP stream can replicated to simulate large numbers of users or scaled to adjust the timing and bandwidth usage.
Graph or download up to 24 hours of throughput and other link statistics to visualize and troubleshoot application performance.

SFP+ or Copper 10 GbE Interfaces
The Netropy 10G1 comes with two dual-rate 1/10 Gbps SFP+ ports to connect to any type of 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps Ethernet network. The interfaces support any standard 10 Gbps SFP+ or 1 Gbps SFP transceiver. The 10G1 is optionally available with 10 GbE RJ45 (100M/1G/10G auto-negotiate) ports instead to connect to standard copper Ethernet networks.
